Grade 316/304 stainless steel is celebrated for its exceptional composition, featuring approximately 10% nickel and 18-20% chromium. These critical elements provide robust corrosion resistance, with chromium forming a protective oxide layer to prevent rust. Even when the surface is heavily scratched, the steel maintains its corrosion resistance. The alloy also includes significant amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon, with iron constituting the remainder of the composition.
